Simulation of acoustic transmission loss of a point source at 15 meters depth emitting a continuous 200 Hz tone. The values are the depth average of the field over the first 30 meters of the water column. The acoustic model inputs are profiles from World Ocean Atlas and bathymetry from GEBCO 2023.
(At some locations the transmission loss field overlaps land north of San Juan Island. This is due to some apparent mismatches between the GEBCO database and the true location of the coastline in that area.)
